Armed Forces Day in Giddings is a community celebration honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation’s military members, past and present. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Veterans Park. Attendees can expect a meaningful program that includes a special guest speaker, Vietnam-era veteran Dwayne Williams, along with a unique opportunity to witness Huey helicopter rides provided for several Vietnam veterans at the park. This event is designed to bring the community together in appreciation, reflection, and support for those who have served, while creating a memorable and patriotic experience for all who attend.
